There are vast differences between music instructors everywhere. Some instructors can actually make the lessons and learning harder than it has to be. One friend of mine said “That if you know a subject well you should have no problem teaching it to someone else.” I agree with that statement, in that those who know the subject should be able to explain it in such a way as to make it simple for a beginner to understand. The first thing that people should look at when they are trying to learn a skill is what the instructors background in that skill is. You want to find an instructor with the knowledge of how to play the violin, and will be able to convey that knowledge and encourage their student. When the student gets the best instruction they learn all they need to know, and they learn they way that they need to learn, right.
